These terms apply when you use knafabjoz.com. The site is run by Lulu Technologies, British Columbia, Canada (“we”).

Our content

Articles, recipes and photos on this site belong to the people credited with them. You’re welcome to:

  • link to any page;
  • quote short passages with a link back;
  • cook the recipes as often as you like.

Please don’t copy whole articles, recipes or photos without permission.

Cooking safely

Recipes are tested by our contributors, but your ingredients, oven and pan may differ. Hot sugar syrup and melted cheese can cause serious burns, so take care. Check every ingredient for allergens (knafeh usually contains wheat, dairy and often nuts). We provide recipes and information as they are, without any guarantee.

Sharing an “I made it” entry

When you send us a note, photos or a rating:

  • It must be your own. Only send photos you took and words you wrote. Don’t include other people’s faces unless they agree.
  • Keep it on topic and kind. We don’t publish anything illegal, hateful, misleading or advertising.
  • You keep ownership. You give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to show your name, note and photos on this site and on Knafa Bjoz’s social media accounts, and to resize or crop the photos. You agree to this with the tick-box when you send your entry.
  • You can take it back. Ask us to remove your entry at any time, using the form on the privacy page or by emailing privacy@knafabjoz.com. Removal ends our permission, though copies others have already shared may remain.
  • We moderate. We may decline or remove any entry, and we don’t have to give a reason.

Ratings and polls

One rating and one vote per device, please. Don’t use scripts or tricks to change results. We may remove ratings or votes that look automated.

We may link to other websites. Some links may be affiliate links, which earn us a small commission at no cost to you. We’ll always mark those clearly. We’re not responsible for other websites.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses caused by using the site or its recipes. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. Questions: hello@knafabjoz.com.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia decide any dispute. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away any right your own country’s law gives you to bring a claim where you live.
